Project VRE and the latest updates on its progress… (Web Development Central Blog)

Hi, Cory here with a quick update about Project VRE and how its progress is doing. I’m happy to say that the overall progress is doing great. Traffic is coming in, content is being posted on ‘Auto-Pilot’, its Tags are being created automatically as planned within each post, relevent Google Adsense ads are appearing… I could keep going on and on, but really do I need to.

Now, you’ve probably figured out by now that this website is a Wordpress Blog and if you haven’t well know you do.

The great thing about Wordpress is it’s a great FREE CMS(Content Management System) platform that can be modified into looking like a regular static website, but is much more powerful because of the technology it uses for syndication called RSS(Real Simple Syndication).

RSS is only part of it, the other part about Wordpress is there are many plugins available that will enhance and automate the blog in manys ways which I will get into in the posts to come.

Now, I just want to let you now the stats from when I first launched this blog to what they are today using Alexa as the traffic ranking source.

I also want to let you know that I have done absolutely nothing to promote this blog accept submit my RSS feeds to MSN, My Yahoo!, Google and over a hundred RSS and Blog directories.

So… with that being said, here are the stats.

When I first launched my blog it was getting some traffic already but the traffic ranking at Alexa was around 927,000 and that was on Nov 6.

Well today being Nov 15 my Alexa traffic ranking is 454,011.

So, to give you a rough idea as to how much FREE traffic I have received since Nov 6 it’s around 6000 hits which works out to be about 600 hits a day on average over the last 10 days. Not Bad!!

Anyway, I just wanted to give you an quick update as to how things were progressing with this project and that more is to come.
