The advantage to doing this is you can set up one hosting account and then host multiple blogs without adding any more to your monthly fees. It cost around $10 a month to host a blog with Host Gator. Then adding new blogs to your account does not cost anything.

The nice thing about hosting your own blog with the Word Press platform is you not need to learn any HTML coding to build the pages. You just type in some content, hit the submit button, and the pages are built automatically.

One effective strategy today is to write all of your own content. Or you can hire a freelance writer to write content for you as well. If you keep all of the content on your blog unique search engines will appreciate that and you will find your blog ranking higher than some of your competitors might be.

Monetize your blog with Google Adsense when you first get started. You can also add affiliate products to your blog and sell them. Good sources for affiliate products and programs include Offer Vault, Max Bounty, ClickBank and Amazon.

Be consistent in adding content on a regular basis and you will be surprised at how quickly you have a blog you can be proud of. Not only that, but you will begin to build up a loyal readership, and you can start to make a lot of money as a blog marketer as well.
